The mission of Community Connections is to identify and connect students with college and community support services to empower students to be successful in their academic programs and overall goals.

Single Stop

Do you have personal barriers that are impacting your academics? Could you benefit from additional support and community resources?

Central Virginia Community College partners with Single Stop, a non-profit organization, to create a one-stop shop that can connect you with a variety of resources you may need to stay focused on your academic goals. Single Stop uses specially designed software that, through a series of questions, identifies resources you may be eligible for. These resources include:

  • Medicaid
  • SNAP (formerly food stamps)
  • Free tax preparation and counseling
  • Financial Literacy Programming: Keys to Financial Success
  • Referrals for other campus and community resources

All Single Stop services are free for qualifying CVCC students and your family members. Do the Single Stop benefits screener (link below) to learn more about what Single Stop can do for you.
