Check CVCC's Online Catalog before requesting materials. Also, please check the databases before requesting a periodical title. Do not use this form to request titles owned by CVCC, unless you are a distance student (a distance student is one who resides outside CVCC's service area of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell counties). Give as much information about the requested item as possible. Only current CVCC faculty, staff and students may request interlibrary loans.

Please note: We are obtaining these materials from other libraries on your behalf. Articles may take up to 3-5 business days. Books, DVDs, and other materials coming via postal mail may take up to a week or more. We will notify you as soon as your item arrives and is available for pickup.

Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve a violation of copyright law.

Current faculty, staff and students may request the purchase of an item by the library using the New Materials Request form.
